This is IT!

The church was not available on November 14th. I was going to find another venue, but every place I found was priced too high for me. I do not want to spend a small fortune for a couple of hours. I just needed a place to have my simple, but sweet ceremony and a short reception with some family and close friends.

Then we decided it would be too difficult to get Matthew's girls here in November. We do not want to get married without them there.

So our date is January 16th, 2010. The church is available, the girls have a few days off school, and we have more time to plan. I feel great about this. I was becoming extremely stressed out about the date changing over and over. I feel that this is the right day for us to get married. Like God opened the door for January 16th.

I am so happy!

Much Love,

Invitations and a Tiara

We bought our invitations and my tiara this week. I am SO excited about them!! The invites are simple, but they have the two hearts interlocking, that we wanted. I'm going to try to find more stuff that matches.

I love love LOVE my tiara! I was nervous about getting it, because #1 it's from Michael's. I have nothing against Michael's. I LOVE Michael's. But most of the ones they had were rusty. #2 I couldn't try it on before I bought it.
But I love it. It fits me perfectly, and doesn't fall off. Which I was worried about. And... It's SO SHINY!! LOL!

I'm hoping my next purchase will be my vases for the sand ceremony. They are so pretty. Matthew found them. He really does have good taste. (For most things...)

Are We There Yet?

Well, we may be changing the date. AGAIN!

But I'm ok with it. We were going to have trouble getting Matthew's girls here in November. It would take 4 days to drive them out here and back. So we will probably have them fly. We are looking at the middle of January, because the girls have a few days off school. That way they definitely won't miss any school. And it gives us a little more time to get money for plane tickets! LOL!

Another reason? Our church isn't available on November 14th. Go figure. And I have not been able to find another place that would be anywhere close to the price as the church. Everything is more than I want to pay! We are still waiting to hear if the date in January is available. They said that there wasn't anything on the calendar, but they wanted to make sure. That's a good sign, right? I think so.

If it works out to be at the church, the ceremony will be in the "Cafe" area. Which is really the entrance area to the chapel. (Which was the original sanctuary in the church building) It's really pretty. They renovated it a few years ago, so it looks awesome. Won't need much to decorate it. The small reception will be in the "Game Room". (It used to have ping pong, air hockey, foosball tables, etc.) It's a very plain room, but I think we can make it work. Hehe.

*Those of you who know the rooms I'm talking about, let me know of any decorating ideas you have!!*

I'm so excited. I have my invitations. I just need a printer! LOL! I am working on wording and fonts for them. Not sure how I'm doing the programs yet. Probably something to match the invites. I have an idea of what I want to do for the favors. I have the finish up the guest list. My girls, my mom and I are going on Oct 3rd to go dress shopping. YAY! There is more, but I am very confident that I can get it all done.

As always, I am very open to ideas!!

We have a date!

So, after many discussions, frustrations, and conversations, we have a wedding date!

November 14th, 2009

That's right people! 62 days from now. That's just 2 months! EEK!

I have so much to do.

We are having a very small ceremony. Just family and a few friends. Most of Matthew's family can't get here for almost a year, so we will be having our big wedding, my dream wedding, after he gets back from deployment. This way, we'll have the money to do it right, and I'll have the time to plan it right. And everyone will be here. YAY!

My checklist on theKnot.com says I have 63 items overdue. As in, I have to do them ALL this month! Plus more. Thankfully, it's going to be small.

Dress shopping: October 3rd!!! I'm SO excited!!

*Did I mention that we started dating on November 14, 2008? :) *

When am I getting married?!

My fiance is in the US Army. He is schedule to be deployed early next summer. Meaning our plans for an August wedding have changed.

Now, we are looking at the last weekend in March. That way his girls won't miss school to come out here. And it gives us enough time for a honeymoon, and time for paperwork before he deploys.

So, now I'm just waiting to see what the church and country club say about what dates they have available. I'm praying for a miracle here!!

Much Love,
